Private commissions begin at USD 3,995 and are quoted individually once the firearm, style and accessories are known.
One
A private conversation
Tell Tinus about the firearm and the creation you have in mind. Nothing is committed at this stage.
Two
The firearm is studied
He measures it himself where he can. Where he cannot, he sends you his measuring procedure and drawings so that you or your gunsmith can return exact figures.
Three
Agreement and deposit
He sends a written order and agreement setting out the case, the accessories and the price. A deposit of one third begins the work.
Four
One case. Four to five months.
The creation leaves Tinus's hands when it is right. Handover is agreed with you; shipping, where required, is for the client's account.

The Tinus Tredoux measuring method
Over many years Tinus worked out his own way of measuring a firearm, so that a case can be built around a gun on the other side of the world and still close on it exactly. It is written down, drawn by his own hand, and it is his. It is not published here.
Once your commission is under way and your deposit is received, Tinus sends you a private copy in your own name, with his guidance alongside it.
